Stoic Merino Crew Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

I hear that this runs a bit small. I'm 5'6 135lbs, should I get a small or a medium. I do want something fitted but not if it's going to be too tight and restrictive. I'm wearing it as a base layer so it should be some what tight but am afraid that a small may be too small.

What makes these different from the regular NTS products I am used to? Warmth wise, do they compare to Microweight, Lightweight or Midweight? Also what makes these "Sport NTS" instead of just regular NTS? Would really appreciate any insight anyone has, thanks!!
