Necky Manitou 14 Ultralite Kayak

The other day I tried my first recreational Kayak, a Current Designs Vision 140. Easy to paddle, nice and fast but hard to keep in a straight line and harder to turn quickly than I expected. So now I am looking at the Manitou 14 and wondering if it is just my skill level or do these boats behave fundamentally different?

Perception Prodigy 12.0 EXP Angler Kayak

I too am comparing The Prodigy 10' EXP and the Manatee from L.L.Bean. They are exactly the same, but L.L.Bean throws in a nice fishing package and all for $499. Now the only drawback with them for me is that it is a 6-8 week delivery. That is totally unacceptable. How much work is it to setup one of these with anchor kit and Rod holder?
