DAKINE Split Roller Large Gear Bag - 6000cu in.

We need to take 4 prs of skis & poles, 4 helmets & 4 prs boots to Alberta Canada from Washington DC area this Thanksgiving. 1/2 of those are kids sizes. OUr last ski bag was "lost" (stolen?) from UPS a couple years ago. So we are in market for 2? ski bags & possibly another bag that will hold gear (1-2 pr boots + helmets & other misc stuff) or a couple of carry ons for same. What combination of bags would you recommend? Obviously we'd love to get some on sale, but quality/weight/convience/packability comes first. Please give me a list of bags you recommend I check out. I am overwhelmed by the choices. Thanks!

Osprey Packs SpaceStation 140 Rolling Gear Bag - 8500cu in

I am considering buying this bag for a safari to Africa. Two questions - As the bag has no telescoping handle, is it comfortable to reach the handle and pull in an airport. I am 5'10" tall.. Also, assuming I don't load it too heavily, will the size of this bag make it through present airline requirements? Thanks
