LEKI Devine Aergon XL Antishock Trekking Poles - 1 Pair - Women's

Anyone have a pair of these Devines (XL or normal) or any other Leki that can comment on the antishock suspension and whether or not having it always be on is a good thing? Or if you notice a noise when they're springing? I was asking out on a backpacker website and I think I ran into a bunch of "light is right" duders who just hated the idea of the antishock and so couldn't comment on any positives of it.

I've read only enough to be dangerous, but these seemed to allow more of an agressive ascent, however does that affect your angle when decending?

Because the picture sure looks like foam. Also I just want to confirm as these are referred to as women's trekking poles that the grips are in fact smaller than standard trekking poles.

Third question: It seems like many complain about the twist-lock method of extension in general. Has anyone NOT had problems with this system?

I don't know how much it matters for poles, but I am an "average" woman, probably with a bit smaller hands and less weight than a man. Thanks for any comments!
