Will this windshirt stop mosquitoes from biting the way my nylon

Marmot Ion Windshirt - Men's

Will this windshirt stop mosquitoes from biting the way my nylon pants do? (i.e. the little buggers can't puncture the nylon with their proboscis.) Ideally I'd like to wear this while I'm backpacking on a sunny day--say, in the 70's. Perhaps a mesh backed shirt would work?

Mountain Hardwear Transition Zip T - Men's

I have an older, standard weight version and a featherweight version of this shirt. They are awesome, but since moving back to the Northeast a couple years ago I would like another standard weight version, but cannot seem to find it any where. Does MH only make the featherweight version these days?

I wore it through and through since 2001. My original had a hood and zip pockets in the lower back. Do the new versions offer this hood? The cinch on the hood was remarkable. I would be less likely to get a new one if there was no hood offering. Also, do they still have the lining?
