Mountain Hardwear Ultralamina 0 Sleeping Bag: 0 Degree Synthetic

I am trying to buy a waterproof bag for a person who sleeps outside, without a tent, year round in Eugene, Oregon. The winter's are very wet, but the tempature rarely goes below 20 degrees farenheit. The bag needs to be seriously waterproof and very durable as he will use this every night. Is this bag the right one for this or do you have another recommendation? Thanks, Glenn

This bag has been labeled as a discontinued color for months

The North Face Tundra Sleepingbag: -20 Degree Climashield Neo

This bag has been labeled as a discontinued color for months now. I've talked to a TNF rep, and they say that this color has not been discontinued. Backcountry says that this isn't last year's model, so what's up with the discontinued colors label? There have been a few sales on TNF bags in the last several months, but this one is always left off, possibly due to this label. What's the deal with the discontinued colors label? I think it needs to be corrected.

Right now, I have an REI Polar Pod 0* mummy bag. It weighs in somewhere around 4.5 pounds, and I'm having issues with the fabric shredding at certain seams and opening up out of the stitches. From what I've read, this bag seems comparable in weight and compression, which are fine, but what I really want is a more durable fabric. Any comments on the durability?
