Salomon Gun Alpine Ski

hey I just got a pair of the '08 guns and I can't decide to mount my bindings at the classic stance or the progressive stance. does mounting the bindings a little farther back make it way harder to do spins or is it insignificant? I'd appreciate any comments.

Volkl M Rock Backcountry Ski

I am considering purchasing a pair of M Rocks and would appreciate input on sizing. I am 6'-0", 185 lbs, an advanced skier living in Washington State and skiing primarily in the Olympic and Cascade Mountains. I will be using these almost exclusively for backcountry skiing in mixed terrain (open trees, bowls, steeper chutes and faces). Most runs are 500 to 1000 VF. I would mount them with Dynafits and use Garmont Megaride boots. So, the question is, which length would you recommend, 177 or 184 cm?
Thanks,
