I plan to use this on a tent that was an expensive one, but that has not been used in 8 yrs. Does it mean I should WASH the tent... hose the tent, wipe off the tent, or spray with a bottle of water first? Please explain.

Nikwax TX Direct Wash In

I have an Osprey Aether pack, would this work well for waterproofing it? Or what combo of Nikwax products would work best for my pack? I know they reccomend Tech wash, UV proof & Tent/Gear proof. It just seems like this would be a great product to add to the lineup for my pack. I am all about getting as much life out of my pack as possible. I guess what I'm asking is, would adding this to the three products I'm already using, be excessive?

Grease stains on Gore-tex Pro shell jacket. How to get them off?

Nikwax Tech Wash

Grease stains on Gore-tex Pro shell jacket. How to get them off? I have Arcteryx Alpha LT that has some major grease stains that are not coming off with Granger's G-wash. When I got this jacket the previous owner tried to wash the grease stains with G-wash and they didn't come off. One local store that sells Arcteryx told me to try Shout Advanced Gel which I did on small area but that didn't help either. Is there anything I can do about this?I haven't tried Nikwax but would it even matter because jacket has been washed already without a luck?
