Repair Warranty repairs Z1’s and Z2’s, makes custom sandals, produce dog collars, dog leashes, and webbing belts. There are 18 very hard working American’s at this plant.

I thought it would be remiss of me not let you know that service you are asking for does exist here at Chaco. Although the bulk of production has moved to China, the small factory in Paonia, has retained the ability to make special or custom Z1’s and Z2’s. We have had this service for quite some time. Because of the overhead involved in this type of operation we do have to charge more. Special orders are $125.00 a pair. We have a wide variety of webbing to choose from. Should you change your mind about buying Chaco’s this could be a good option for you.

Zappos shows this color option as much darker. See http://zapp.me/7209709 and "dark gray/red rock" is the 5th color swatch. Anyone know what the correct image is (I like the darker color on Zappos, but want to buy from BC)?

I am now in the market for another pair (because they were stolen!). I was wondering if the z/1s are as comfortable. I found that the z/2s were great in the water because the big toe loop helped keep them secure. But z/1s allow the option of wearing socks as well.
Any thoughts or suggestions on how these models compare? Do the z/1s still stay snug on your feet?

KEEN Newport Sandal - Men's

Write your question here...The Newport is advertised as a boating sandal with sipes in the trend that do extend out farther than the Laguna. The sides are very tight and after looking at a 3 yr old pair the sipes were still very tight and closed. The Laguna has a narrower tread with sipes in it however they are much more open and appear to look like they would be better on a wet boat deck. The Newports have to be completely bent to see any sipes and that is not what will happen walking on the deck of a sailboat. Which is the better sandal for boating?
