The s7's look to be an awesome addition to the quiver but possibly too similar to my ObSETHed’s which i skied just about exclusively this past season and now even into early summer!

I am pretty good in powder with my K2 seths at 179, but can't imagine something longer in the bumps.

I bought a pair of Hellbent at 179, and tried them out in a foot of snow at 'Bird. I had them mounted at +4, even though I don't ski switch....just went with the recommended setting. The almost don't feel like skiing, and have to say I got thrown around in chopped snow...did not seem to track very well.

I am having second thoughts, and wonder if I should get the 189 and mount them more traditionally?

Are they a good option as an all mountain ski at Alta and Snowbird?

i am trying to decide between a few skis. i am the wrong side

Icelantic Shaman Alpine Ski

i am trying to decide between a few skis. i am the wrong side of 40, 6 ft and 180 pounds, but still manage to ski about 50 days a year, and am about an 8/10. cant get enough powder, but also end up skiing when i can, so i have to deal with all kinds of snow, including chopped up crap and groomers. i already have 3 different pairs of skis with varying underfoot widths from 75 to 93 mm, and that covers most situations. BUT for next season i am looking for a crazy pair with at least 110mm underfoot, to cruise in nearly everything except dedicated groomers, but to really have fun on the handful of days i get lucky in powder. i have been looking at the icelantic shaman 184, the liberty double helix 190, and the pontoons. i have been reading lots of reviews, but cant seem to get a comparitive idea between these 3 skis. can anybody comment?

Has anyone been on the 195s? With the early rise(4mm @ 15cm down

Line Mothership Alpine Ski

Has anyone been on the 195s? With the early rise(4mm @ 15cm down ski) I'm wondering what length they actually feel like. Combine that with the twin tip and these could literally feel like a 180cm fat ski! Looking at these, 190 Katana, 190 Gotamas and 191 Mantras. I ski Squaw and Kirkwood, as much off piste as possible. Pow, crud, trees, cliffs, chutes, and love to lay down long fast turns when I have to be on trail. I am 6'2", 215 and have been skiing for 30+ years. Was most recently on Prophet 100s which I loved, but always seemed a little too soft and just a tad unstable at top speed. Looking hard at the Motherships(185-195?), but wanted comparisons between the Volkls as well. Opinions and recommendations welcomed.
