prAna Stretch Zion Pant - Men's

I tried a pair of these on and everything seemed perfect...except for the belt. Not sure what is up with it.

It seemed easy enough to loosen, but I couldn't get it to tighten. I pulled and tugged on it and then finally sort of loosened each end of the belt from the small metal buckle and it did tighten, but was sort of twisted weird on the buckle. Is this how it is supposed to work?

Does anyone else have problems with the belt and buckle? I SURE wish these had belt loops.

If I can't live with the belt, what other pant would be a close match to these? I like the slight stretch that they have.

Mountain Hardwear Matterhorn Convertible Pant - Men's

Walldiver commented about shrinkage of 1 inch waist and length. Did anyone else have that happen? The small is just a litle tight in the waist but the medium is too big as is. Shrinking may be perfict fit. I tend to dry everything in hot anyway which def would make the small useless.
