Osprey Packs Raptor 10 Hydration Pack - 600cu in

I have the generously sized Kode-22 for off-piste but I need something a little more compact...the Raptor 10 with 3 litres seems even a bit much, but the 6 with only 360 cubic inches, is that a bit small? 2 litres of water is ample...I'm having a hard time visualizing 360 cubic inches.

I would really only have the need to pack an extra jacket, cap, snack...no tools or equipment (that's what the K-22 is for!). I have alternatives for overnights...so this is strictly multi-season day use.

I'm going to grip this little pack sometime soon after browsing

Osprey Packs Raptor 10 Hydration Pack - 600cu in

I'm going to grip this little pack sometime soon after browsing and reading pretty much everything. Primarily for Mtn bike riding. Thought you folks might shed some light on a query. I have a Dana Designs daypack from WAY back in the day, back when they made them down the road in Bozeman! I know, not China? Amazing times back then. Anyways, it's the sickest little daypack I've ever owned(you kids have probably never even heard of the name) and I was going to add a bladder to it and make my own little rig to hold it inside. Thoughts on MSR or Osprey bladder? I know from other gear that MSR is usually pretty worthy, but this has got nothing really to do with anything I've ever owned. I guess it's a taste/leak scene for the most part, the Osprey model almost looks like it's manufactured stronger, but who the hell can really tell from images. Anyways, if yer bored and have some knowledge, throw it my way. Thanks!

Looking to upgrade from my camelback... generally a good overall

Platypus Origin 9.0 Hydration Pack

Looking to upgrade from my camelback... generally a good overall pack, but when the res is filled 70% or greater it rounds out and does not sit properly on my back. Add some food and light layers and the pack torches my lower back on any ride over 3 hrs.

I like the way this Platypus looks in terms of overall ergo support and weight distribution. I can't seem to find one locally so I can check it out in person, but wanted to see if any other folks out there can chime in on this pack.

Does it hold a full bladder comfortably? What about overall stability? Some packs tend to "jump up" when riding fast, technical downhill...anyone put this Platypus to the test to see if it sits snug and quiet? How about extra storage (layers, food, tools et)? The Origin 22 looks too big for biking (IMO), but it's hard to tell if the 9.0 can do it all... in comfort?

Thanks!
