KEEN Genoa Peak Mid WP Hiking Boot - Women's

I wear a 8.5 in the lower cut Keen Genoa Peak WP shoes. Does this translate to the same size for these mid hiking boots or should I follow the typical logic of getting a size 9? (I usually wear a size 9 in Keens, but for some reason, 8.5 works for the lower cut Genoa Peaks, go figure -- they fit true to size for me.)

I have a short, wide foot. Haven't tried any AKU boots before. Does anyone know whether these are comfortable for a wide foot with a high arch? I do mainly day hikes, often steep and through streams, with a baby in a front carrier. Looking for something light, dry, and with good traction and ankle support. Thanks!
