Dynastar Legend Mythic Rider Alpine Ski

I skied a day on these in a 178. Loved them. Confidence inspiring; skied faster than I normally do, & I'm no slouch to begin w/. I stand 5'10, weigh 180. Would I notice much difference in handling in the next length up? Looking to set them up w/ Marker Dukes. Would use them as my 1-ski quiver for Western skiing. I mianly gun steep cols & shred tight trees when I'm not sweeping long open turns on the the way to said terrain. A veteran of the days of misery sticks (e.g. Volkl p10 215s), I have no troubles w/ length in the bumps...that said, my current Eastern ski = Volkl supersport allstar in a 168...

Dynastar Legend Pro Rider Alpine Ski 08/09 Model

Ive been skiing 168 volkl all stars for the past three seasons on the east coast. Im used to short skis and Im not sure whether to go with the 176 or the 184. 184 is what guys who are around 6'3 220 ski out here in the east. Im 6' 170 and 168 seems a little short but its no big deal. Ill be skiing all over Utah next year and was wondering which length would be best for an everyday driver?

I'm moving to Alaska and looking for a one quiver backcountry

I'm moving to Alaska and looking for a one quiver backcountry set-up. Leaning towards Gotamas with Barons. Demo'd both the goats and Rossi S6s. The S6s were fun, but the goats ripped--felt powerful, dampening, fast, and responsive. BUT I haven't been able to demo the Line Sir Francis Bacons or the Dynastar Huge Troubles. Has anyone had experience with these such that they can compare? (I'm 150, so I expect the 183 goats would have enough float for me in deep pow, but didn't try)
