Ride Machete Snowboard

Noob advice needed. Just started last year. This will be my first board. Wanna get a great one and everyone says this is it. Question is I weigh 172lbs and pretty proportional. Should I go 158 for all around or would I be better of as a new boarder with a shorter one?

I would like to have some tips to choose between the size of my Ride Concept UL Snowboard, as I'm not sure if the 154 will be better than the 157. I will be using it most in big resorts (Whistler) and I'm an advanced rider.
Thanks for your help.
Best regards,
Luciano M de Miranda

Ride Beta MVMNT Snowboard Binding

Do these binding (Ride Beta) also handle ridiculous speeds? How are they on 50+ degree steeps? And what about their CO deep pow pow handling abilities? I'm a snowboard instructor in Vail and I'm looking for bindings that give me the best overall abilities including park. I teach advanced privates in all conditions and terrains from cliff drops, to high speed cross-under carving, to park, flips, and magic carpet. What do you guys recommend? I looked into the CADs but I'm a bit iffy... don't want to spend too much on teaching bindings.
