Has anyone had a dog who used their Ruffwear Web Master Dog Harness

Ruffwear Web Master Dog Harness

Has anyone had a dog who used their Ruffwear Web Master Dog Harness in the water? Our 12 1/2 yr old Chessie has nerve and muscle degeneration in his rear legs, but he acts as though he is still in the prime of his life. We would love to find an all-in-one product that could go from land to water and allow us to give him the extra hand that he requires from time to time.
Is the fleece removable if it becomes soiled? Is there reason to believe that the harness would become severely water logged? Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.

Ruffwear Approach Dog Pack

My dog is between sizes, so I thought I would run this by you. His girth is 31 inches and the length is 22.... so a large medium or a small large. Since I cannot find the pact locally to try it on, I will have to order it on line, and want to get it right the first time.

Question is, get a large or a medium?

Ruffwear Palisades Pack II

Write your question here... I have a 96 pound Golden (Hank). He measures 36" in Girth and 26" in Length. From the other reviews it sounds like a medium Palisades Pack II might be large enough. Altough the Ruff Wear Chart indicates that a large may be in order.
Can anyone give me some feedback on fit for Hank. I am planning on some Weekend Backpacking trips as well as long Day Hikes. Thanks for the assistance. Ken
